Mission launches EV powertrain division

Mission Motors, an electric motorbike-maker based in San Francisco, has launched its electric vehicle technology division, MissionEVT. In an announcement at the SEMA show this week, it confirmed that it is to “design and supply high-performance EV powertrains, including energy storage systems, drive systems and software intelligence, to the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) market. The division will also offer engineering and integration services.”

Mission’s powertrain technology is said to beĀ  flexible and suitable for application in a wide range of vehicles, including battery-electric and hybrid. It has been developed in the Mission One PLE superbike (pictured) programme, in which lessons were learnt about control software and battery management, packaging, motor control and modularity.More details at ridemission.com/evt.
