Design Concept of the Day 2: T-Wave AR1

This one’s not at Frankfurt, as far as I can find out, but it’ll be on display at the Toray Advanced Materials Symposium, Tokyo, next week (according to Integrity Exports).  Chemicals firm Toray commissioned Gordon Murray Design to make the T-Wave AR1, an electric two-seater, to demonstrate the potential of its carbonfibre composite material for lightweight car bodies and structures. No word yet on the source of the powertrain, but it’s said to be good for a range of 115 miles and 91mph – and apparently, the concept (which weighs about 845kg) could be homologated for road use and sale if there were demand for it. Four-seat versions also possible.
