This looks as if it should be my Design Concept of the Day but apparently it is going into (very small-scale) production. It’s German, it’s from a firm called e-Wolf – which also makes electric motorbikes, mini-trucks, microvans and several EV conversions, including two track racers and a Fiat Panda-based model – and it’s called Alpha-2. It’s got two electric motors giving 187bhp, with up to 375bhp and 800Nm available for 30-second over-boosts, and can do 0-62mph in less than three seconds. Top speed 143mph, a range of 185 miles and a 30-minute charge can restore 80% of battery life. Or so the claims go. Price? E245,000 before tax. It’s to be revealed at an international motor show (Frankfurt?) later this year, says e-Wolf.
