Design concept of the day: Pagani Electrodynamics Concept

June 1, 2011 § Leave a comment

Pagani designer Antonio Bruno has come up with a concept “to showcase the freedom of form allowed by the absence of an internal combustion engine”. This swooping coupe with scissor-style doors has its four motors mounted ‘inboard’ – within its body structure and turning the wheels via drive shafts – rather than in-wheel, as with many recent electric concepts, as Bruno reckons that’s a more appropriate configuration for sports car dynamics. It’s a personal project from Bruno and not a clue to a future Pagani production model, however (Car Body Design, via thechargingpoint.com).
