Danes do electric

A non-Parisian story. Are there any indigenous Danish car-makers? ECOmove of Horsens could well be out there alone with their clever concept: a basic skateboard-type structure which can support a series of different bodystyles, including this open two-seat city car prototype called Qbeak. This runaround has sliding electric doors, a centrally-mounted steering wheel and smartphone-based instruments; it has in-wheel electric motors but its batteries, control systems and all hardware are stowed within the aluminium/Kevlar/plastic skateboard base. The plastic body panels are swappable, Smart-style, and fully recyclable. Not much detail on the Qbeak yet, but interested parties can register for more information at the ECOmove website.
(OK, I found another firm in Denmark, Lynx, also making EVs, albeit conversions of the Opel GT roadster. And there’s Kleemann, a Merc tuner, and exclusive supercar-maker Zenvo, but neither of them are exactly green).
