Peugeot 508: hybrid to follow

July 13, 2010 § Leave a comment

Peugeot is previewing its 508 large family car, which will go on sale in early 2011. It’ll come in saloon or SW estate bodystyles, and all versions will get stop-start and other energy-saving systems including the e-HDI stop-start tech for diesel engines, giving economy improvements of around 15%. Though not available at launch, there’ll also be a four-wheel drive Hybrid4 diesel-electric version, giving 200bhp performance and average 99g/km carbon dioxide emissions, plus an electric-only range. More details at the Paris Motor Show in September.
