Eco-Rally #10

Here’s a little follow-up: the Think Citys made it to London yesterday, as expected. And alongside the pair driven by Kevin McCloud and Roger Saul was one with a team from Radio 4 on board –  on the final leg of a cross-European 4,500-mile, 12-country trek. Presenter Peter Curran said that the month-long journey had been uneventful, without  so much as a puncture, and that the car had been trouble-free; Saul noted that he had driven 50 miles Brighton-London with half the battery charge still remaining. However, the road-trip team were only able to average about 150 miles a day, with stops and long waits for recharges: the full story’s here at the Radio 4 site, via the BBC’s excellent Listen Again iPlayer.
