The US state of Washington is to invest $1.32million in developing Interstate 5 as an ‘electric highway’, with up to ten fast-charge points enabling electric car drivers to run the 276 miles between the Oregon border and the border with Canada. The Seattle Post Intelligencer says that this supports the plan for 2,500 EV charging points in the Seattle area, and to enable EV drivers to travel between Seattle (pictured) and Portland, Oregon.
