GT-R to go green?

Nissan is to tackle the fuel consumption of its GT-R super-coupe and the next-generation R35-series model is likely to get an alternative-fuel powertrain, according to The Motor Report. Chief engineer Kazutoshi Mizuno told TMR that the technology had not yet been decided, but a mild hybrid or KERS-style layout was under consideration. The GT-R’s powertrain, including the 3.8 twin-turbo V6,  and its modular construction means that development will be relatively speedy and easy, he added.
