Geneva preview: Toyota Auris HSD

Toyota has released the all-important facts and figures for the Auris HSD hybrid, to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show tomorrow. It’ll return 74.3mpg, according to the official stats, and emit just 89g/km of carbon dioxide; it can run in electric-only mode for up to 1.2 miles at speeds of up to 50kph.

The Auris HSD will be built alongside its conventional counterparts on Toyota’s production line at Burnaston, Derbyshire, and its petrol engine will be made in North Wales. ales start this summer, and Toyota has announced that it will offer full-hybrid versions of all its models by the early 2020s.
