Fiat is going to announce a 900cc, two-cylinder engine at the Geneva Motor Show, reports Automotive News Europe. The TwinAir petrol engine will be fitted in the Fiat 500 from this summer, and next year, the Lancia Ypsilon and new-generation Fiat Panda.

The engine will come in naturally-aspirated (65bhp and 85bhp) or turbocharged (105bhp) forms, and it’s said to emit less than 100g/km of carbon dioxide. It’ll be built at Fiat’s factory in Bielsko Biala, Poland.
