Geneva preview: Citroen DS High Rider

February 15, 2010 § Leave a comment

Citroen’s revealed the DS3 – the poshed-up C3 supermini – and here’s the DS4, a top-end spin-off from the next-generation C4 platform. It’s a crossover-type vehicle,  reasonably compact at 4.3m long, and this High Rider concept-car preview showcases the PSA Peugeot-Citroen diesel hybrid powertrain.  This combines a latest-generation HDI engine with particulate filter (driving the front axle) and an electric motor (driving the rear wheels) to give four-wheel drive capability as well as a short range in electric-only mode.
