Geneva preview: Suzuki Swift plug-in hybrid

February 10, 2010 § Leave a comment

Suzuki’s going to show a Swift plug-in hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Petrol-driven power comes from Suzuki’s kei-class 660cc unit, but this hybrid’s capable of up to 20km in electric-only mode. The 54kW motor will thus serve the needs of most daily commuters; the batteries can be recharged from a domestic socket. Entirely production-feasible, shame the Swift supermini’s now looking and feeling a bit dated.
